It was a frosty morning here in the Northern Rivers.

It was rather cold this morning when I woke up and when I looked onto the front yard I was greeted with a sea of white on the lawn.

I got rugged up and took my camera outside.  I must of been a bit of a sight if anyone had seen me in my PJs leaning over the grass.

I love the details of the ice crystals formed on the leaves of the plants.

I love doing 1st birthday cake smashes!  They are so much fun (and messy).

Flynn got into his cake smash and got extremely messy.  He also loved having a bubble bath afterwards - I think we nearly had more water and bubbles on the floor than icing from the cake!

Being the mother of 3 boys we have lots of Lego in the house. 

I have started a Lego project to preserve memories of the Lego my boys think are cool.

I am looking forward to playing more Lego with my boys and coming up with fun ways to photograph them.

Pelicans at Brooms Head | Sarah Rickard Photography

We love spending time at Brooms Head.

I have always liked watching the Pelicans down there.  There is quite a large colony that lives down on the main beach.

The Australian Pelican is a predominantly white bird with black wings and a pink bill. It has been recorded as having the longest bill of any living bird. It mainly eats fish, but will also consume birds and scavenges for scraps.
